A Million of People Visit Shanghai Expo Today

Today is the 169th day of the Shanghai World Expo, which will come to the end in 15 days. Together with the weekend and good weather, more than a million of visitors went to the Expo garden today.

According to the official statistic, a world record 1.0327 millions of visitors entered to the Shanghai World Expo today. Up to now, totally 64.6211 millions of people visited Shanghai Expo, which is also another World Expo record.

The First China’s Got Talent

Yesterday Night, the final of the first China’s Got Talent show was held in Shanghai Indoor Stadium. From 8pm to 11pm, after three hours competition and live text message votes, Liu Wei, who lost his two hands in an accident, won the first champion of China’s Got Talent show.

China’s Got Talent is  a similar TV program that has performed in England and US. It was kicked off on Shanghai Dragon TV on July 25. In the three months intense contest, the program attracts large audiences across China.

China’s National Day

Today is China’s National Day. The People’s Republic of China has been founded for 61 years. There are many celebration activities across the country.

 10am this morning, at the Tiananmen Square of Beijing, China’s present Hu Jintao, premier Wen Jiabao and other country’s leaders placed baskets of wreaths at the Monument to the People’s Heroes. And about 200,000 people attended the flag-raising ceremory.
