Happy Chinese Valentine’s Day
It is Chinese Valentine’s Day today, also known as Double-Seventh Day in China. Double-Seventh Day refers to Chinese lunar calendar July/7.
The Festival stems from a legend story about the Cowherd and the Spinning Lady. It says that the Cowherd and the Spinning Lady are separated by the ruthless “The Milky Way”, and can only meet once a year in lunar 7/7.
In Chinese Valentine’s Day, lovers will go out and date to spend a romantic night together. Usually men will buy flowers for their lovers, have a candlelight dinner and watch film in the midnight.
It is a good chance to express your love to another. If somebody agrees to go out for a dinner or something else today, it may be a sign that he or she wants to date with you.
Such kind of festivals are also good business chances. Flower price will go up and restaurants will be crowded. It’s better to book restaurant in advance if you have dating.
So sad, I totally forgot it! Poor single girl!
