Mid-Autumn Gifts in China

with one comment

Mid-Autumn festival will soon come around. Many Companies in China do not want to miss the opportunity to please their staff, and will give employees more or less festival gifts in this  traditional Chinese festival day.

The reception area of our office building is overflowing with boxes of mooncakes these days. And it is said that every staff member  will get a box of mooncake this year.

Last year our all staff had a Mid-Autumn buffet dinner party together in a restaurant. The year before last all of us received a 50RMB bread coupon.

Nowadays, many people like to show gifts on websites and compare with each other from different companies. Some of them get an amount of bonus, while some of them get nothing, or just small gifts.

Mainly there are three approaches to reward employees: providing red packages or shopping coupons, holding a banquet in a restaurant or preparing material gifts, such as bread, mooncake or edible cooking oil.
