Looking for an Apartment at Jiangqiao

with one comment

I am looking for an apartment at Jiangqiao of Jiading District, where is very close to Changning and Putuo District. After two weeks’ field investigation and related information search on internet, My final decision, concurring with my girlfriend, is to  quit from the Jiangqiao area.

Last Wednesday, we went to Jiangqiao at first time via metro line 11 at Taopu newly Village station. It is only 3km far away from Jiangqiao, but there is no direct bus and we had to take a tricycle. When crossing Taopu highway, we saw many dense residential buildings, which does not give us a good impression. We knew they are Jiacheng residential quarters later.

Xiangfuwan, a residential quarter on sale, was our first target, but we gave up at first because it is a little expensive than our expectation. Last Sunday, we went there again and decided to book an apartment at the first floor, traditionally which is not a good floor in China, but relatively cheap. Unfortunately, we found yesterday that there is a world second largest waste incineration factory nearby, which is the root cause to lead us to quit again.

Another neighborhood is Cuidi Shangjun. We almost put down deposit, the high-tension line that’s less 200 meters far from the building makes us no choice but quit. Is it harmful if high-tension lines near a house?
