My Experience of an English Interview
I received a call from Microsoft Shanghai this Tuesday, and had a second round telephone interview. The interviewer is a technical engineer from Microsoft SCC department.
At first, this guy asked me to introduce myself briefly, which is a common question during an interview. After that, he asked me “What is your favorite work experience?”, actually, I didn’t know how to answer. It is a position for Windows Server Support Engineer that I am not familiar with, and I totally forgot when I applied it.
English Education in China
One colleague works in Shanghai, while his family is not. He wants to move his family to Shanghai, but there are some problems. The biggest one is his son’s education. China has many restriction on transferring from one school to another, not to mention transferring from one city to another.
In Shanghai, children start learning English language since kindergarten, while it is not always the truth in other cities, especially in some small ones. His son attended a entrance exam in a primary school of Shanghai, but failed to get a good score. The obstacle is the education difference, his son did not learn English in his grade 2.
