A Million of People Visit Shanghai Expo Today
Today is the 169th day of the Shanghai World Expo, which will come to the end in 15 days. Together with the weekend and good weather, more than a million of visitors went to the Expo garden today.
According to the official statistic, a world record 1.0327 millions of visitors entered to the Shanghai World Expo today. Up to now, totally 64.6211 millions of people visited Shanghai Expo, which is also another World Expo record.
Experiences in Visiting Shanghai World Expo
We went to visit Shanghai World Expo last Saturday night. Although I dislike the way that the Expo operates in China, I’d like to share my travel strategy.
First of all, plan the travel itinerary as detail as possible. The Expo park is very large across Pudong and Puxi, you probably get lost if you don’t decide in advance where you want to go.
It is difficult to book hotels in Shanghai during Expo
It is relatively difficult to book a hotel in Shanghai, especially an economy hotel, during the Shanghai World Expo. Economy hotels that used to cost less than 300 RMB a night, is up to more than 500 RMB, almost double the original prices.
A relative of my family is coming to visit Expo and asks me to help book a hotel. I have searched hotels online for an hour and can not find a suitable one, they are either too far from the expo garden, or too expensive to an ordinary people, or just full.
A Girl was Pregnant from a Rape during Visiting Expo
Shanghai Cambridge police station received a report in June 11 that a girl was pregnant from a rape during her visit to Shanghai World Expo. The news was first reported on Xinmin Evening News.
A journalist had interviewed the victim for details. In May 30, a South Korean band called SuperJunior performed a concert in Shanghai Expo. A great number of fans poured into the concert and the assembly went out of control and became a scene of turmoil.
The Visitors of Shanghai Expo Break 30 Million
Today is the 82nd day since the Shanghai Expo opened on 5.1 this year. At 9:12 this morning, the total number of Shanghai Expo visitors has reached 30 million.
After the opening of the Shanghai World Expo, it used 36 days to reach the first 10 million visitors on 6.5. Then with the increase of the visitors, it only took 23 days to reach the second 10 million on 6.28. Today, it took almost the same days to go up to the third 10 million.
