Piracy and IP Protection in China
Piracy is still rampant in China, although the Government has put much effort into protecting intellectual property. The official report says that China has 45% software pirating rate in year 2009.
The high rate of piracy of intellectual property brings a very negative impression to China. Microsoft and other companies have filed many lawsuits to indict those companies which use pirated software.
