Cancellation and Refund Policy

We strive to provide memorable experiences through our events and tours. This policy outlines our terms and conditions regarding cancellations, refunds, rescheduling, and other related aspects.
1. Pricing Information:

All prices exclude 5% GST and any applicable payment gateway fees.

An additional 2% fee applies for international cardholders.

Pricing may vary based on group size and nationality.
- The cost of monument tickets is not included in the pricing for our events and walks.

2. Payment Policy:

For all services, a 100% advance payment is required to confirm your booking.
​
3. Refunds:
​
3.1. Refund Window: Refunds are available if a cancellation is made more than 72 hours before the scheduled event date. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 72 hours of the event date.
3.2. Deductions: Refunds processed will have payment gateway charges and service fees deducted. The exact amount will depend on the terms set by our payment service provider and the fees mentioned at the time of booking.
3.3. Processing Time: Once a refund request is approved, it may take up to 7-10 business days for the refunded amount to reflect in your account. The exact duration depends on the policies of the respective banks or payment providers involved.

4. Private Walks:

Cancellation Policy:

45 Days or More Before Tour Date: 10% of the service cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.

15 to 44 Days Before Tour Date: 25% of the tour/service cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.

7 to 14 Days Before Tour Date: 50% of the tour/service cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.

Less Than 7 Days Before Tour Date or No Show: 100% cancellation fee; no refunds will be provided.

Short-Notice Cancellations:

24 Hours or Less Before Tour: 100% cancellation fee applies.

25 to 72 Hours Before Tour: 50% cancellation fee applies.

Rescheduling Policy:

Less Than 24 Hours Before Tour: Rescheduling will incur a 50% service charge. Rescheduling is subject to availability and at the discretion of Tales of City Experience Pvt. Ltd.

25 to 72 Hours Before Tour: Rescheduling will incur a 25% service charge. Rescheduling is subject to availability and at the discretion of Tales of City Experience Pvt. Ltd.

5. Public Walks and Events with Partners:

Cancellation Policy:

2 Days or More Before the Event: A 50% cancellation fee will be applied.

Within 24 Hours of the Event: A 100% cancellation fee will be applied.

Cancellations due to medical reasons or unforeseen circumstances may have their payments adjusted towards a future event, subject to approval by Tales of City Experience Pvt. Ltd.

6. Event Changes or Cancellations by Organizers:

6.1. Event Modifications: Tales of City reserves the right to make changes to the events, including changes in dates, venues, or schedules. Participants will be informed of such changes as soon as reasonably possible.
6.2. Event Cancellations: In the unlikely event that Tales of City has to cancel an event, participants will be offered a full refund or an option to reschedule to another event date, subject to availability.
6.3. Exclusions: Tales of City shall not be responsible for any other expenses incurred by participants, including but not limited to travel and accommodation expenses.

7. Merchandise Refund Policy:

All merchandise sales are final, and no refunds will be provided unless the item is defective or damaged upon receipt.

Claims for defective or damaged merchandise must be made within 7 days of delivery, with proof of purchase and photographs of the issue.

8. Children’s Pricing Policies:

Age 0-9 Years: No charge for children in groups accompanied by adults and smaller than 8 people.

Age 10-14 Years: Half ticket price will be charged.

Age 14 Years and Above: Full ticket price will be charged.

9. Special Conditions for All Tours and Events:

For Tours Between December 20 and January 5 (Christmas and New Year Period): All payments are non-refundable, irrespective of the notice period given for cancellation.

Unforeseen Circumstances: If cancellations are due to medical reasons or unforeseen events, payments may be adjusted towards a future event, subject to approval by Tales of City Experience Pvt. Ltd.

10. Liabilities & Limitations:

All itineraries provided are sample schedules and are subject to changes based on weather, road conditions, participant capabilities, and other factors.

We are not responsible for any delays, changes, or cancellations caused by natural hazards, transportation breakdowns, political disruptions, or other uncontrollable events.

We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property related to accommodation, transportation, or other services provided during the tour.

We do not offer insurance coverage for accidents, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other personal losses. Participants are responsible for their own insurance coverage.

11. Dispute Resolution:

11.1. If there's any dispute regarding the refund amount or the terms of this Policy, participants are encouraged to reach out to our customer support team. We aim to resolve disputes amicably. However, if a solution isn't reached, the matter will be settled as per the governing law and jurisdiction mentioned in our "Terms of Use."

12. Changes to this Policy:

12.1. Tales of City reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Any changes made will be communicated through our official platforms, and continued participation in our events will be deemed as acceptance of the modified terms.
