About the Workshop
Two hours of painting with Kailash Pradhan, a Gond artist with more than fifteen years of practice. You will make your own Gond painting of a peacock, a bird tied in Gond work to the abundance of the monsoon and an ideal subject for the pattern work the tradition is built on.
Kailash takes the session step by step, from sketching the form to building up the dense infill of dots, dashes and fine line that gives a Gond painting its movement.
No prior painting experience needed. This is a beginner level session.
A note before you book
Gond is detailed work and some of the finishing may need to be done at home. Kailash will show you how to carry it forward and complete it yourself.
