Led by the renowned storyteller Syed Areej Zaffar, this walk is designed to immerse you in the historical and cultural significance of these two iconic monuments. The walk is organised by Tales of City in Collaboration with The Ladisha Paend & Koshurnama.

Meet Syed Areej Zaffar, Kashmir's beloved performing artist, celebrated as the First Female Ladishah of the region. With her captivating performances, she breathes new life into Kashmir's enchanting folk ballads, captivating audiences with her mesmerizing storytelling.   Her passion for preserving Kashmir's rich cultural heritage extends beyond the stage. A dedicated advocate for mental health activism, Syed Areej Zaffar actively collaborates with NGOs across various districts of Kashmir, using her platform to promote well-being in her community.  With her infectious enthusiasm and unwavering dedication, she continues to inspire and uplift those around her, leaving an indelible mark on Kashmir's cultural landscape.

Guidelines:

  • Per head registration cost of the heritage walk is Rs.500(Excluding GST) and platform service charge.
  • Dress modestly.
  • Carry a headscarf or cap.
  • Wear shoes that are easy to remove.
  • Wear a mask, & bring your personal sanitiser and water bottle.
  • Since it is a walking tour, guests are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Arrive at the departure point 15 minutes prior to the reporting time.
  • Please note that locations are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Please note that tours are subject to weather conditions. If the tour is cancelled due to weather, it will be rescheduled.
  • Kindly inform us beforehand if you will be accompanied by your kid(s) on the walk. There is no registration fee for children below the age of 10 years and a 50% registration fee for children between 10-17 years of age.
  • The tour route is in public areas over which we have no control. We are not responsible and shall not be held liable for the behaviour of the public, other tour patrons, or any accidents during the tour.
