About the event

For World Heritage Day, we propose a specially curated heritage walk through the iconic Qutb Complex- one of India’s most remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites, where multiple strands of history converge within a single landscape. This walk will explore how different eras continue to coexist here: early Sultanate ambitions, reused temple fragments, evolving architectural styles, imperial symbolism, scientific ingenuity, restoration histories, and the many legends that have shaped public memory of the site. From towering minarets to intricate carvings, from political transitions to artistic innovation, the Qutb Complex offers something for every kind of visitor. Designed as an engaging experience for all audiences, the walk blends storytelling, historical insight, architectural knowledge, myths, and little-known anecdotes, making heritage accessible, lively, and memorable. As a special bonus for World Heritage Day, participants will also take part in a fun Heritage Bingo Challenge, encouraging closer observation of monuments, motifs, inscriptions, and hidden details…
