Two sisters who couldn’t be further apart though both beautiful...talented, but one overshadowed the other. Just as the elder brother Dara overshadowed his younger brother, Aurangzeb.


Let us explore the fascinating rivalry of two sisters, which reshaped history and the fate of the Mughal Empire.

Perhaps more than the brothers Dara and Aurangzeb, it was the sisters, Jahanara and Roshanara, who changed the fate of the empire. Jahanara, the more well-known sister, overshadowed the younger Roshanara due to her beauty, wisdom and being the eldest child of Mumtaz and Shahjahan.
