About the Story Circle:
Step into an evocative evening of memory, resistance, and rediscovery as we discuss The Lost Heer—a pathbreaking narrative that reclaims the forgotten voices of women in colonial Punjab.
While colonial accounts of Punjab often centre around soldiers, sardars, and statesmen, The Lost Heer turns the lens toward the daughters, doctors, reformers, and poets whose stories were pushed to the margins. From Aas Kaur to Dr. Premdevi, Harleen Singh excavates voices lost to history and brings them back through oral testimony, archival finds, and regional literature.
