Hauz Khas holds a unique place in Delhi's narrative, acting as a cultural sub-capital. Originally part of Siri, the grand third city of Delhi, it was later absorbed into the even more expansive Jahan Panah. Yet, the prominence Khalji envisioned for his beloved tank endured. Centuries later, Firoz Shah Tughlaq chose its banks as his final resting place, a testament to the enduring significance of the site.
